Micro Ring Hair Extensions in Istanbul
Micro ring extensions attach each strand with a small metal ring that is clamped shut around your own hair. There is no heat and no adhesive, the rings can be opened and reused, and they are priced per strand so the total depends on how many you need.
Also sold as micro hair extensions, micro link extensions, I-tip extensions, bead extensions. Different salons use different names for the same method.
How it works
A pre-tipped strand of hair is threaded through a small ring, together with a thin section of your own hair. The ring is then flattened with pliers. That clamp is the only thing holding it. No heat, no keratin, no adhesive touches your hair at any point.
Why the price is per strand
Because that is the honest unit. A person with fine, short hair might need 100 strands. Someone adding 20 cm of length to thick hair might need 250. Quoting one flat price for a full head means one of those two people is paying for hair they did not get. We count what your hair needs, tell you the number and the total, and only then start.
Maintenance is opening, not replacing
At the refit we open each ring with the same pliers, slide the strand back up to the root and close it again. The hair is not touched. This is why micro rings work out cheaper over a year than any adhesive method, even though the first appointment costs more.
The honest downside
The bond is a metal ring and you can feel it. Most people stop noticing after a few days, but some never do, especially when sleeping. It is also visible if your hair is very fine or very light and the ring is not colour-matched properly. We match ring colour to your root, not to the extension hair, which is the difference between invisible and obvious.
Who this is not for
Very fine hair, where a 3 mm ring is heavier than the strand it hangs from. In that case nano rings are the correct answer, and we will say so rather than sell you the more expensive fitting.
Aftercare
- You can wash your hair the same day, there is nothing to cure.
- Keep conditioner away from the rings, it makes them slip.
- Brush with a loop brush, holding the roots with your other hand.
- Do not sleep on wet hair, the weight pulls on the rings.
- Come back for the refit at three to four months, not later.

Do micro rings damage hair?
The method itself does not, because nothing chemical touches your hair. Damage happens when the rings are clamped too tight, hung on sections that are too small for the weight, or left in for six months instead of four. All three are fitting errors, not method errors.
How many strands will I need?
Most clients need 100 to 200. Fine or short hair sits at the lower end, adding significant length to thick hair sits at the upper end. We count in front of you before we quote.
Can micro rings be reused?
The hair yes, usually up to a year. The rings themselves are replaced at every refit, they are inexpensive and a reopened ring never closes as securely.
Micro ring or tape-in?
Tape is faster and flatter. Micro ring lasts longer per fitting and costs less over a year. If your scalp is oily or you use a lot of product, micro ring is the more reliable choice.
